About me
My name is Owen Dobbing. I am a primary-trained teacher from the UK with a specialism in teaching computing and leading digital learning.
I work as a teacher at a school in London where I lead computing and digital learning.
I have also taught in Thailand and South Korea. In Thailand, I led computing and digital citizenship at a leading international school. In South Korea, I worked as a district head teacher, supporting and training teachers to teach English in Korean public schools.
My priority is always providing for the needs of children, whatever stage of development they are at. I share my views through a weekly blog and through my published work.

Think, Compute, Grow!
In 2026, I am excited to publish Think, Compute, Grow!
This is a complete computing scheme of work for children between 7 and 16.
Think, Compute, Grow! aims to teach children digital skills, in the context of sustainable business and agriculture. It includes lessons on engineering, programming, media and AI literacy with detailed lesson plans and supporting resources.
All lessons are linked to the United National Sustainable Development Goals, meaning that as well as learning about computing, children are also learning ways to build a sustainable world.
