Primary Tech Review

Primary Tech Review provides resources and guidance to support use of digital technology across the primary curriculum. Computing is also covered in depth, providing educators with tools and knowledge to explore and teach this subject with confidence.

​Technology has the potential to change the world, including education. This presents both opportunities and challenges to teachers.

 

Opportunities include:

• Exciting forms of creativity that reflect the creative opportunities in the professional world

• Personalised learning, greater availability of feedback

• Possibilities for communication and collaboration on a greater scale

• New ways to overcome barriers to learning

• Mediums of work that tap into children's interest in digital technology and media

• The chance for children to complete work that improves the society around them

• Ensuring children use technology positively, safely and responsibly

• Keeping up to date and selecting from an ever expanding range of digital technologies, including managing costs associates with this

• Balancing use of digital media with traditional forms of working

Everything on Primary Tech Review is built on an approach that prioritises pedagogy, considering what we think modern education should look like, before selecting the most appropriate technology to achieve this.
